*Raspberry and Beet Tart*

Beets are nutritious, great tasting, sweet, and delicious. Plus, their natural hue is a great way to add a bright pop of color to your summer healthy eating. With the help of Salus® Red Beet Crystals (US/CA), all these benefits are brought to the table.

*Raspberry and Beet Tart*



  • • 1 cup of walnuts, ground
  • • 1 cup pecans, ground
  • • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • • 2 tbsp of Salus® Red Beet Crystals
  • • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • • 500 g cream cheese
  • • 1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
  • • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • • 2 cups raspberries
  • • 2 tbsp of water
  • • 2 tbsp of Salus® Red Beet Crystals


  1. CRUST: Combine ground walnuts, ground pecans, butter, Salus® Red Beet Crystals, and cinnamon in a bowl. Once mixed, press firmly into pie pan. Bake at 350 °F for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  2. FILLING: Mix cream cheese, sour cream (or yogurt) and maple syrup with a mixer on low speed, until smooth. Pour filling into pie shell. Freeze for at least two hours.
  3. COMPOTE: Place raspberries and water into a saucepan and bring to a medium low heat. Cook for 10 minutes, occasionally mashing berries with a spoon. Remove from heat and stir in Salus® Red Beet Crystals. Allow the compote to cool completely, and pour over filling.
